to all of the supporters who passed away during the terrible incident at hillsborough may you all
rest in piece, to all the families who lost loved ones my heart goes out to you all, may you one day
find piece out of this needless tragic event that could have been prevented.

On April 15th 1989, over 25,000 Liverpool supporters travelled down to Hillsborough to watch the FA
Cup semi-final match with Nottingham Forest. 96 of them never returned.

i was only 5yrs old when this tragedy struck so many liverpool fans. i watched the documentary on the t.v when it was hillsborough's 20th memorial. i felt sick and must've cried buckets to see all those people lying on the pitch either dead or dying, and then to stop the family from identifying thier loved one's must've been horrififc and i can't imagine what the parents and family and friends must've been going through my heart and love goes out to all the family and friends who lost their loved one's on that tragic and horrible day and i hope one day that horrible man who killed all those innocent people get what he desreves rest in peace love catherine xxxx

THE BELL

THE BELL
The bell tolled
all afternoon
we did not send to ask
for whom.
It told of flowers
heaped in a goalmouth,
red and blue scarves
heaped together at an altar;
it told of
eyes like TV screens
haunted by last night's images
tears dried by the April wind.
As the flags at half-mast
stirred overhead
the deep bell
still tolled in our heads
long after the light had gone.
